What is in a Word?

Let's See Where 90 days takes us.
Day 51, Saturday

Words

 Words have different meanings
beyond their definition.

As individual as the person sending
and the person receiving.

Read a book and you know
that words paint a picture in your mind
different than the picture
that forms in the mind another.

Perception,  past and current circumstances
can make a simple word or sentence
something entirely different
then intended.

It also depends on the person
and how they are with themselves.

Self-esteem can play a big role.
As well as the nature of the relationship.

Say the same words to two different people,
one person may make light of it,
another me take it seriously.

In situations of harsh words,
an expression of hurt, anger or bitterness
could either be understood,
viewed as an attack, a lashing out
or seen as permission to let go,
liberating even freeing.

Often there is piercing and there is scaring.

One leaves a mark for a short period time
and heals quickly,
the other has more permanence
and takes much longer to get past.
